Fried chicken balls

5 minutes to prepare  Serves 4

Fried is the solution

Anything fried slays our hearts, and when its fried meat, its magic that happens.
To make it even more awesome I have prosciutto cotto ham added to the chicken.
Did I read your heart there?

Want to get over anything bad that happened to you today then think no more: go straight to the kitchen and get this thing going. Trust me on when I say that you can get over with the hardest of things when you have these chicken balls in front of you.

This recipe is quite simple and very experimental. You can substitute the chicken with any kind of protein you like and it would turn out to be a whole different dish (here you can find my broccoli balls, for instance).
I simply love the room it provides for experimenting (and errors as well). If you are new to cooking then this would be the recipe that I would suggest you to start with.
Going to the recipe straightaway now.

Here are ingredients for a 4-serving recipe (12 balls):

250 g boiled chicken
150 g Prosciutto cotto ham
3 eggs
3 tablespoons bread crumbs
50 g grated Parmigiano cheese
seeds oil
salt and pepper

  1. Place boiled chicken and prosciutto cotto ham in a blender, and blend until you obtain a smooth mixture
  2. Transfer the mixture into a bowl. Add 2 eggs, the Parmesan cheese, a pinch of salt and mix well. Add 1 tablespoon of breadcrumbs if it is too soft
  3. Meanwhile, heat oil in a pan
  4. Form the mixture into balls and roll them in the remaining egg first, then into bread crumb until thoroughly coated
  5. Deep fry the balls until golden brown, about 5 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
