Pecorino cheese, grapes and green olives skewers

10 minutes to prepare Serves 4

10 MINUTES

Do you ever add creative flair to your food?

I love to mix it up. My husband does not always agree it is a good idea, as he tends to prefer usual (boring) taste combinations. Haha.
This is why I exploit every night my girls come over to experiment a little. For instance by combining salty and sweet and umami flavors in one appetizer.

So does this recipe that celebrates the sweetness of grapes and the creamy piquancy of pecorino cheese. Chili-flavored EVO oil and green olives will also help wheting your appetite.
Just the time to open the bottle of Pinot Noir and these skewers will make the perfect morsels for your party!

Here's what you will need for the 4-serving recipe:

200 g Pecorino cheese
16 pitted black olives
16 grapes
16 wooden appetizer skewers (10 cm long)
dry chilli peppers
EVO oil

      1. Pour 3 tablespoons of EVO oil in a small bowl and add 1 teaspoon of chopped dry chili peppers. Let it season for about 10 minutes
      2. Wash grapes and dice Pecorino cheese (cubes with 2 cm side)
      3. Thread wooden skewers with alternating pieces of Pecorino cheese, grapes and olives
      4. Arrange the skewers on a platter; brush the chili oil all over their surface
