Squid game
Today's recipe is an incredible dish featuring orange-flavored baked squids and creamy green beans' puree for something simple, yet very delicious.
Not only does it look and taste impressive (I took the idea from a recent visit to a local restaurant), it takes no time at all to rustle up. The recipe might seem difficult at first glance, yet the steps are simple. Enjoy!
Here are ingredients for a 4-serving recipe:

Here are ingredients for a 4-serving recipe:
1 onion
400 g squids
1 potato
1 orange fruit1 fistful breadcrumbs
EVO oil
salt and pepper
EVO oil
salt and pepper
- Place a large pan on a medium heat with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Peel and finely slice the onion, then add to the pan and cook for 2 minutes or until golden
- Add fresh beans, chopped, and the potato, cubed. Add half a liter of water and go on with the cooking for 20 minutes
- Meanwhile, clean the squids: run a sharp knife down the length of squid tubes and open each one out like a book. Then, cut them into 2-cm rings
- Preheat a pan, then add one tablespoon of EVO oil. When the oil is hot, add the squids and the orange juice, and cook for 20 minutes, or until soft
- When the 20-minutes time has passed for the green beans, add a pinch of salt and blend everything until you obtain a creamy puree. Keep warm
- Prepare the breadcrumbs: heat few tablespoons of EVO oil and bake the breadcrumbs until golden
- Serve the green beans puree with baked squids dipped into it. Add 1 tablespoon of EVO oil and freshly ground pepper on top. Finally, top with breadcrumbs and grated orange
