The most tasteful proteins
Enjoy this traditional recipe from my Sicilian grandma, which makes a very flavorful sauce for octopus with tomatoes.
It requires few ingredients, a short preparation and it can be served over spaghetti, or just on its own.

Here's what you will need for the 4-serving recipe:
1 kg octopus
1 clove garlic
20 cherry tomatoes
EVO oil
salt and pepper
- Pour 2 tablespoons of EVO oil in a large pot,. When it is hot, add the clove of garlic. When it is golden, add the cherry tomatoes
- As soon as the tomatoes have softened, remove the garlic and blend them, in the pot
- Put the octopus on a cutting board. Cut the tentacles just below their junction to the body
- Add the octopus and, lowering the heat to low, cover the pot with a lid. Let it cook for about 50 minutes
- Serve with freshly ground pepper on top
